"hi, you have reached 253-6397. we're not here at the moment so please leave your name and number and we'll get back to you." Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.. and now you're supposed to leave them a message. me, i'm sitting here thinking 'uh, k.... great, i'm glad to know i can dial a number.... who the FUCK am i TALKING TO???' and i hang up the phone. screw that. or how about this one. "hi, you've reached the ________ residence." so,lets leave a message. it would go something like this: 'HI. i picked your number out of a phone book that lists your last name 18 million times. see, i'm looking for ed, but i've never gotten his number.... does ed live here??? if he does, call me back at 768-9067. night!' *cough* retards.... *cough* That'd be a great message. answering machines could be a great source of entertainment. for example: "HI, and welcome to justin's answering machine. right now you'll be wanting to leave a message, because here i am, sitting right beside the phone. (evil laugh) see, this is how i screen my messages cause i don't have call display. love ya, see ya, chow, bye!" see, THAT, is a FANTASTIC message. absolutely fantastic.
