dragonblade0's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the importance of Tim Hortons Plans for the day... sometime last night around 10:46, or something along those lines, i had the brilliant idea that i should go to ND after school today, and still catch the bus home. but the catch is that technically my bus driver's not allowed to let me on or off anywhere but my school. stupid snitchy people. so the question is, how do i convince her to let me on at the other school. it's generally in my favor, because she's actually a friend... but i feel bad about risking getting her in trouble. i mean, she could lose her job, so i really don't ask that often. alarm goes off at 6:38. i haul myself out of bed, and half sleep through a shower, deciding what to do. skip breakfast, head outside, freeze my curls solid in the -20 chill outside. bus shows up. "hey donna, could i convince you to look the other way so i could get on at ND tonight?" "uhhhhhh i dunno." "i'll buy you coffee..." "ohhhh fine." "you're the best donna!" so i get off the bus an hour later, press a toonie in her hand, smiling, and say "coffee's on me this morning". my bus drivers great. of course, she's canadian, and she loves her Timmy's coffee. speaking of Timmy's... i stayed in town last night and at one point stopped in at Timmy's for a baegel. the guy in front of me ordered 3 triple triples, and as he's waiting, he's standing there counting out change, stacking it in a tower. toonie on the bottom, then a few quarters, nickels, dimes, and the required number of pennies, totaling $3.88. i order my baegel and hand over the exact change also. smiling, i have to comment "you know you're canadian when..." the woman laughed. either way, i should be doing history work :D 11:00 a.m. - 2004-01-06 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
